Earth week! Earth week is obviously a huge annual event aimed at cleaning up our home planet. As mentioned in a previous post, BioClub is a club that I wish I could participate more in. As Earth Week approached, Mrs. Grund, our club adviser, put together a committee to organize games for Earth Week that we could host everyday during that week at lunch...in the Quad. We had fill-in-the-blank games pertaining to healthy and green habits and rewarded students that approached our table and participated. Food and snacks were undoubtedly a great factor in our success, but it was nice to see that many students were aware of green practice (as seen on the high scores on the fill-in-the-blank games!). It required a lot of sacrifice to give up lunch while food sat on the table right in front of our faces, but the sacrifice was necessary and I am proud to have participated in this school-wide event.
